Baby Boy Layout with a Truck & Airplane

Baby Boy 12 x 12 Layout with cute Squirrel flying an Airplane!
This super cute layout is not my own design... I saw this squirrel flying the airplane on the Quickutz website a long time ago and I cannot find the original creator. If it's you, please let me know and I will give you the credit you are due because this squirrel flying the airplane is just super fabulous!

The squirrel page is the last one in the album. This page will have the last pictures before the little boy is going home from the hospital and he is 'flying home'. The squirrel is a Quickutz die and the plane is an older Sizzix die. The clouds are Lifestyle Crafts.
Baby Boy Layout with Truck & Cones
Making boy albums is a joy because there is so much that can be made. Trucks, planes, trains and so on. Here you see a staple for any boy album, a great little truck! I added some cones, they are also on the other page and it's looks very happy.

This album is now finished and I'm on to my next project: a girl album.

Baby Boy Album Layout with a Scarecrow

Boy Layout with Scarecrow & Fence
For this layout I used the Cottage Cutz Scarecrow. He is very detailed and great fun to put together with all his little pieces. Once he is done he is the perfect size for the FirstMemories Texas albums.

The album pages for FirstMemories Texas cannot be 'filled' because the volunteers at the hospital need the freedom to add as many pictures of the little ones as they like and also any size that fits best. That is why I keep my pages very empty and I do not add frames.

Lately I have been adding 1 single photo frame with a 'hidden' journalling tag behind it. This allows the parents to journal without everyone being able to see the notes when later on they look through the album.

Baby Boy Album Layout, Sea & Peek-a-Boo Horse

Boy Scrapbook Layout with Lighthouse, Waves and Whale
When I saw this background paper, I just knew that it would be perfect for a small sea scene. The scallop borders, that you see on all my pages, help with this. The lighthouse is a Quickutz die and shines a light on the photos. The rocks and the whale are older Quickutz dies. The waves are made with a Sizzix die.
Boy Scrapbook Layout with a Horse and Barn
This background paper was just meant for a little barn scene with a horse. The 'wood' I cut with a Sizzix die, I mounted paper with wood grain on chipboard to give it some stiffness. The horse has googly eyes, I added a shiny star brad and the scene gives us a cute Peek-a-Boo horse.

One of the FMT volunteers told me that the album has already found a home at Texas Children's Hospital!

Baby Boy Layout, Cute Paper Baby Clothes

Baby Boy Layout with Paper Baby Clothes
I normally use these small baby clothes embellishments for the FMT Story Cards but this time I used them for a full layout. Cut a few more, mix and match the colors and it looks great.
The clothes are cut with a collection of older Quickutz dies, a series of 7 dies with a variety of baby clothes and one single die with the small onesies. The clothes hanger is just the perfect size for this small baby wardrobe.

Baby Boy Album Pages, Secret Notes Tree

12 x 12 Secret Notes Scrapping Tree Layout
This is by far the largest-metal-tree-die that I own. It's an AccuCut album die and it's just perfect for a 'secret notes tree'. I glued the card stock onto chipboard to give the tree extra strength and volume, a tree this size really needs some substance. On the front of the tree there is space for some small photos and journalling.
Secret Notes on the tree Revealed!
And when you turn up the leaves, you see the space where the secret notes will go. The notes will all be hidden when the leaves are turned down and it's just perfect for when this little boy is growing up and discovering his album.

Baby Boy Album Pages, Backyard & Train

Last week I finished a Baby Boy album for a family with an infant who has been in the NICU a little longer. This means that I have tried to create layouts that are a little less baby-ish but still cute for a little boy. I hope you will find some inspiration....
Baby Boy 12 x 12 Layout, In the Backyard with the Dog
The first page is a backyard scene with a dog and doghouse, both are cut with Cottage Cutz dies. Every layout is in reality a double layout but the facing page is mostly empty so I do not photograph those.

I keep the album pages pretty empty to give the volunteers at the hospital more freedom when putting photos on the pages. This time I added 1 photo frame, with a journalling tag behind it, to every page.
Baby Boy 12 x 12 Layout, Traveling on the Train
The second layout is a train page. I have quite a few train dies and in every boy album, I use one. Trains always look great! This train is from an older Quickutz/Lifestyle Crafts die. The paper is My Mind's Eye Twinkle Twinkle Little Baby Boy and I have used that for the whole album.

Baby Girl Album Layout with Forest Animals

Cricut Create a Critter Raccoon, Zooballoo Tree
This sweet forest layout is my favorite to make and I use it very often for my FMT album layouts. This time I made it slightly more elaborate because I added the tree. Trees are my all time favorites for cards and layouts : ).
Cricut Create a Critter Deer
The deer is fabulous to use on album pages for babies, it's just so cute and will cut well in many sizes. The mushroom is a small detail that adds to the theme.
Cricut Create a Critter Squirrel
In a forest a squirrel has to be part of the bunch of course and here he is. Sweet and happily sitting on his little log with an acorn. Oh dear, he dropped one, that one is for later!
Double 12" x 12" Baby Girl Layout with Cricut Create a Critter
The full layout looks like this. I always add a journalling tag for parents to add notes, maybe another picture or sometimes a poem. Because these pages are for the volunteers to fill and I don't know how many pictures or what size, I leave the actual page a 'blank' canvas.
